 The Boone County Fairgrounds offers a modern, clean, and well-maintained campgrounds located east of the fairgrounds.

Campgrounds open year round!

• Full hookup campsites have water/sewer connections on year round (even during the cold winter months)! Winter camping is allowed for self-contained trailers who are prepared for winter camping. Contact the office for more details on winter time camping.
• Bathroom/Shower House is open April 1 - November 1        (unless unusually cold temperatures occur)

Location
The Campgrounds is close to everything in Boone and only 15 minutes away from Ames and Iowa State University.  We are also conveniently located within 40 minutes of the Des Moines metro area.  Local attractions in Boone include Ledges State Park, the Boone Racetrack, Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad, and many other attractions.

- Water Hookups (not at every campsite)

- Dump Station
- Pens for horses available for $25/horse/night (please contact the office for making reservations for this). 

Stay Limits
- There is a 14 day stay limit on sites 1-76 & 87-96
- If you wish to stay more than 14 days, you must contact the Fair
    Office to make arrangements. Long term campers must camp in 
     sites 77-86. (Long term discounts available, call for details)

Registration and Reservations
Pre-registration can only be done online. 
If you do not pre-register online, you can camp at a walk up registration site.   Campers who do not pre-register must complete a registration form and submit payment in the drop-box located at the Shower House.  
- All payment is due in advance.
- Online reservations collect card payment with reservations.
- Walk up registrations must register and pay upon arrival, before setting up your campsite.

Electric Only (we have 20, 30 or 50 amps available)

$100/week (7 nights)
$325/month (30 or 31 nights)

Electric & Water
$25/night
$125/week (7 nights)
$500/month (30 or 31 nights)

Full Hookups (Electric, Water & Sewer)
$30/night
$175/week (7 nights)
$700/month (30 or 31 days)

Fees include use of shower and bathroom facilities and dump station usage.

Cost for using the dump station if you are not camping with us is $10.  Please call ahead at 515-432-5899, as our dump station is locked at all times.

Cost for showering on site, of you are not camping with us is $5/person
