​The show ring is one of the oldest buildings on the fairgrounds. With its historical beauty also comes a need for modern amenities.  While the its dark wood ceiling and built in bleachers are historical and beautiful, they make the space dark. Upgrading to new LED lighting will brighten things up, and be more energy efficient. Keeping the show ring cool for livestock, exhibitors and those watching the shows is also important item to address. We hope to add fans to keep air moving throughout the building. As livestock shows are happening, the sound system is extremely important to ensure we can hear the judges comments.  New speakers will improve sound quality. Lastly, the livestock office is in need of a major facelift. Expanding it over the no longer usable permanent scale will give more space to for storing important items for shows.

​The current wash rack area has 10 oversized pens on a concrete pad that is uneven and does not have proper drainage. This space also serves as a pre-show staging area and a walking path to get animals to the show ring. The uneven concrete creates a trip hazard and it allows water to pool in the walking area causing an additional safety hazard. The space would be better utilized by making the pens smaller and the walkway larger. We plan to purchase newer pens that have an easier locking system that all our exhibitors can utilize. Lastly, this area of the grounds shares a water source with many other hydrants which causes the water pressure to be extremely low. By adding a water pressure system, we hope to alleviate this problem.

Picnic Tables are a great way to support the Fair and recognize a business or individual.  Picnic tables feature a strong metal frame, weather treated lumber, an umbrella for shade and a custom plaque with wording of your choice.
